What is Fuliza?
Fuliza is an M-Pesa overdraft facility that lets you complete M-Pesa transactions even when your balance is insufficient. It was launched by Safaricom in partnership with NCBA in 2019. Over 33 million Kenyans use it.

Fuliza charges a daily access fee of 1.083% of the outstanding balance. Over 30 days, this works out to approximately 32.5% — or roughly 395% APR when annualised. It is one of the most expensive borrowing options in Kenya.
How can I reduce my Fuliza charges?
Repay your Fuliza balance as quickly as possible — charges are calculated daily on the outstanding amount. If you need money for more than a few days, consider M-Shwari or KCB M-Pesa which are significantly cheaper.
